Wow, it's been a while since we've posted anything on our blog. Well, here are the latest updates on the Average Joe Movie:
Just letting everyone know that we are moving along fairly quick. Andy and I are taking whole sequences for ourselves since we hope to get the whole film out by December this year... YES, December. We don't quite know the exact release date yet but we are shooting for early to mid.
We have all of the sequences divided up. There are 38 in all. We are currently working on Seq. 19... so yeah, we have a ways to go but we're churning out animation FAST to reach our animation deadline of November 4th.
That's right, we've set a deadline for all of the animation to be 100% DONE on November 4th. That gives us a whole month to edit the film and get everything ice and shiny.
That's all I've got on that.
On another note, we all went to see Toy Story 3 last night and it was, to say the least, INCREDIBLE! Best film of the year so far! If you haven't seen it yet GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND SEE IT RIGHT NOW!

(FACEBOOK USERS: We're importing these post from our BLOG so please excuse any formatting issues)
Ok, so it has been AGES since we've posted anything on this blog or informed anyone other then little tidbits here and there on the Facebook Page on what's going on with Average Joe's Great Escape.
We apologize, and hope to get weekly updates going again.
Well, all I can say now is that we are still working hard and fast on it and we'll have it out real soon! That's real vague I know but we'll have it done ASAP. Andy and I are animating day and night to get this thing done (and it's turning out great by the way!).
In other news, we are working on more Mr. Flowerpot's: HOW TO BE A MAN episodes. We have a whole season (6 episodes) planned out as well as a possible 20 minute featurette involving Mr. Flowerpot and the zombie apocalypse. This is going to be a fun series and hopefully there will be one episode every week-two weeks.
We are also working on a prpject involving balloon puppets... YES, balloons. We're going to put out a "pilot" short soon to see how people react but we plan to put out a big project involving these balloons. It'll sort of be a film-noir who-killed-who thing. It'll be interesting.
So that's what we've been up to. Keep checking the blog! More posts coming soon.

(If anyone is laughing, it's gonna be me)
Hello all, and welcome to the place where I brag about things that I do with my time.
So, this week, got some good stuff going on. The Average Joe movie is coming along very, very, nicely with some amazing animation done by our talented, (and in Emily's case, very good looking) crew of animators. (I would compliment the dudes, but that would just be weird.)
Also, this week Andy has informed me that he inadvertently advertised for us in a documentary he was a part of. Mostly because I don't remember all the details, and because I'm lazy, I'm going to say, long story short, Andy gets the last line of the film and the caption states that he now composes music for NR-Animation Studios.
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!!
Also, we started animation on the christmas special this year. It's going to be a good one (mostly because I wrote it) but also because it looks HAMAZING so far. So be sure to look out for that and as always, thanks for watching!!!

(Still from the Christmas special. Look for it December 12th! )

(It is here that awesomeness is made, in convenient cartoon form!)
Mine eyes hath seen the glory of NR animation's first feature length film, AVERAGE JOE'S GREAT ESCAPE!!! it is not only the best thing we've ever done, but the best thing anyone has ever done EVER!!! Two words, Terminator Teacher, that scene is just HAMAZING!! I just saw James' animation on it and I am more than blown away, I am FIRE AND ICED'd by how amazing this movie is turning out to be.
Also, this week, we finished up Average Joe commentary and Andy pitched me an HAMAZING idea for a short film. Needless to say we need extras. We need people to play dead bodies on a beach/battlefield. It would be a day of filming at the beach and everyone involved could say they were in a short film from NR Animation studios. Which is basically the highest honor anyone can ever receive (besides a congressional medal of awesomeness) but I will say that anyone who comes to the filming will be given a medal in the subsequent newsletter. EACH AND EVERY PERSON. So, you should all come then, I CAN GIVE OUT THIRTY METALS!!
Wow, that would be fun.
We also finished the commentaries for the Average Joe episodes. I think we're thinking about having them as down-loadable videos. We're also probably going to be selling a limited number of DVD's of the series. Hehe, thanks as always guys for watching and keep on waiting patiently for the movie, it will be worth the wait!!!

Week of 11/20/09
(Animators...the people who stand high upon the shoulders of writers.)
Okay so let's start off by dedicating this week's WEEKLY NRAWESOMENESS to our animators, James, Andy and the new guy.
These dude's spend A LOT of time just sitting at computers, clicking, dragging, lip syncing, all kinds of stuff with big words for names. And despite all their schedules, they still manage to take something great (my scripts for example) and bring it to life just as it was intended. People like these guys don't come along more than once (except in Pixar's case, but I'm convinced they're all just robots) so we need to make sure they know how much we appreciate them and all they do. Awesome job guys; here's to another five years!
Great, now that the sentimental stuff is finished, we can GET YOU, THE FANS (I hope) UPDATED!!! So this week, got a lot of work done on the Average Joe movie. I was able to critique and finalize the teacher's character models. James as always was great about changing little things here and there. I also continued working on the script for the Fifth Floor sequel, so that's going to be great. I do believe we're scheduled to start working on the Christmas special as well here soon.
On another note, we also continued recording commentaries this week. We have some great tracks for each of the Average Joe episodes on the DVD. Trust me, when you buy that, you will be BLOWN AWAY by all the awesome special features. And then you'll crawl back, beaten broken and scarred only to be BLOWN AWAY AGAIN by the actual series. It will be painful but remember, the pain makes you stronger...or something like that.
So, another productive week, thanks again to everyone who watches and Allan, Bi Bi, and Matt, I'm calling you out! Chris Moore watched all the Average Joe episodes in ONE NIGHT. I want you to beat that, BEAT IT!!!!

Week of 11/12/09
(I MAKE DEM'S ONLINE PICTURE SHOWS!!!)
The N, stands for Nethery, the R...really it stands for Ramsey but for the sake of this joke, IT STANDS FOR AWESOME. And the animation/productions, stands for THE STUFF WE CREATE!!!! *cue epic music* Now, you are afforded a glance into the world of NETHERY-AWESOME (Ramsey) Animation! WHAT WILL YOU DO!!!
Random Kid: "I'm gonna go to disney world!"
WRONG!!! FIRE, ICE, GOOOSH!!!!! YEAAAAaaaahhhh.........okay so we didn't meet this week alright? I used filler there to start off this week's segment because I don't have a lot to say. We're busy people, (especially me) we have homework, and work work (and newsletters) and we're just busy. But I didn't say our time was WASTED!!! DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN
Yeah, we got us a new animator. Someone Andy contacted who is pretty good from what I can tell.
James has also been sending me character models for the characters in our movie, AVERAGE JOE'S GREAT ESCAPE which are looking hamazing. (after I tell him to start from scratch and use the description I gave him that is.) But yeah so that's moving along nicely. If you haven't already done so, AND I KNOW YOU HAVE, check out our latest short film "The Animation Process."
Here, I'll even give you the link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLyNI0yuXdw
But yeah, and then I also started working on a new script this week for RETURN TO THE FIFTH FLOOR, a sequel to our blockbuster (sort of) hit, THE FIFTH FLOOR from a couple years back. I'm taking that idea, making it AWESOME and then making it MORE AWESOME. (because that's what I do) it's also part of our animation process so it works. But yeah, keep an eye out for new stuff guys and thanks for watching!

Yes, that's right, the animation process, NR-ANIMATION STYLE!!! Soooo good. Yes, we have all been busy this week but Andy, James, Emily, and I managed to find time to film that yesterday. I walked into the house, Andy Pitched the idea, and magic happened. Lots, and Lots, of magic. Really though that's how we animate stuff. And if you didn't know what happens when you combine fire and ice, well now you do.
In other news, the Average Joe movie has been coming along nicely, and since we're awesome, it's also gotten another sneak peek/preview. Check it:

So yeah, another fruitful week at NR Animation. Special thanks to Andy and James for devising that HAMAZING short film. And thanks to everyone for watching (because I KNOW YOU DID) and yeah. Have a great week guys!!!!

(We're combining this week's and last weeks NRAwesomeness posts into one post this week)
NRAWESOMENESS 7
(who wants to see Pixar make a Ratchet and Clank movie? *raises hand*)
So we got to do the Cup of Soul Block party this past weekend. It was AWESOME, we had our tent set up with cartoons playing and a poster that Andy and Emily and James made and we even has BUISNESS CARDS!!! (ZOMG!) But there was only one problem, NO ONE WAS THERE!!!! Haha, people did show up but it was smaller than we expected. We did get some people inquiring about our services so that was pretty awesome. Hopefully we get some exposure because of that *crosses fingers*
Also, after said party, i went home and wrote THIRTY PAGES of script for the first episode of our new series; The Fourth Wall!! After finishing the script for the pilot, i can safely say the episode is 53 PAGES OF SCRIPT!!! And our co-writer Ed, hasn't even added his two cents yet so expect one heck of a pilot episode mmk?
All in all, a great week for NRA, we're moving along and the Average Joe movie is looking better by the second. Keep checkin the site, and if you haven't done so, check out the Halloween special!
-Bradley "Yeldarb" Ramsey
NRAWESOMENESS 6
(They like to use us clap trap bots as target practice, I WASN'T PROGRAMMED FOR THAT KIND OF THING!!!)
Do you ever watch our cartoons and think to yourself, "Damn, how do they do that?" Well, the answer is simple; we listen to Mozart.
And not just Mozart either, I was listening to some Beethoven today (Moonlit Sonata movement one to be exact) while writing this very newsletter. Let me tell ya, it really is something, it makes you feel smarter while also making you feel sophisticated. It's like the music is complimenting you while it makes you look good.
And as such, you can do awesome things. It sounds crazy, but I'm telling you, Andy and I were listening to Mozart today and we both got things done and decided that listening to classical music is indeed something that makes you better at things.
On another note, our SUPER AWESOME HALLOWEEN SPECIAL IS OUT!!!!!?!?!?! Yes, it is. Here's a linkzor for you people,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVcDVN-jj78
Just watch it right now, i'll wait.............................okay back? It was awesome wasn't it?! So this week we'll be doing the cup o soul block party type thing and we're all pretty pumpedzor for it. I actually got a Sunday off so this is truly a big deal. Here's hoping some rich businessman walks over, listens to my schpeal and pays us money to write and make him a cartoon/commercial. A man can dream, and dream I shall!!! But yeah, as always thanks for supporting us and hope you liked our Halloween special!! Have a great week!

(What do you do with a bunch of kids that don't know to do anything but stand around and bang their heads all day? YOU START A REVOLUTION LARS!!)
We did things this week!!! (yay!!) But we also don't have anything new to show (boo!) but we finished editing Omega war!!!! (SUPA YAY!!!) But now we got to figure out how to get it published (Boo!) Okay, enough of that (boo!) shut up!!
This week we got more business cards, which is great because I was low and now I have enough to start my own business card distribution business. Also, as I mentioned we finished editing my novel, THE OMEGA WAR and it is just face melting, mind numbingly awesome, just like everything else I write. We are getting pumped and excited for the Cup O Soul block party coming up and James also used our official whiteboard today to pitch us his new idea for a short film entitled Cybernocchio. It's looking good, kind of a spoof of Pinocchio with Cyber-Daemon so it will be fun.
We also started working on the Halloween Special that I had written. James put together a storyboard/animatic that is coming along nicely. We also came to the startling realization that a character cannot dig through a coconut creme pie if his hands are bound so we changed that part of the script! Yay for breaks in the space time logic continuum!!!
(UPDATE: James has started animating the Halloween Special! YES!!!)
Andy has been incredibly busy but it sounds like he's gonna jump back on his Average Joe animating so that will keep on looking more and more amazing as well.
Also, its worthy of noting that I convinced my brother to do his speech for a class on the history of N-R animation studios so that's pretty awesome. Its a mutual benefit, he gets an A and we get exposure, everyone wins. Only difference is we get one step closer to fame and fortune, he...well, doesn't.
James and I decided this week that we need to start a lunch fund to pay for client's lunches when people start paying us and we take them out to pitch our ideas. I'm thinking PF Chang's is a good place to take them. It smells nice, the food is hard to pronounce and oh so expensive, and there's lots of dudes in suits and ties! But anyway, another successful week at NR animation!!

Another week, another list of things I get to brag about. YEAH!!! Ok, so first and foremost, my novel THE OMEGA WAR is THIS CLOSE to being edited. Yes, i know I say that every week, but now I'm super serial!!! Basically were like twenty pages away from saying: "Publishers, prepare to have you're headesploded!!!" And trust me, heads will esplode, of that I am certain.
I'm certain that more of AVERAGE JOE'S GREAT ESCAPE got done this week, but to be honest I haven't met with James or Andy so I haven't seen it. But the fact that I'm certain it's amazing is solace enough. Speaking of scripts, I am brainstorming (as always) ideas for Fourth Wall and I'm telling you that when it does come out, IT WILL BE HAMAZING!!!
Still no Hunted this week, but as you can see its been very VERY hectic for all of us (me for sure) at N-R Productions. But fear not, the things we work on are right next to breathing in the frontal lobe (or which ever one) of my brain. If your looking for something to watch, why not get caught up on the Average Joe episodes ?

So this was another fruitful week here at N-R animation. First and foremost, we GOT AN EMAIL ADDRESS! Yes, that's right. It took a good amount of patience though, James and I were signing up for the account at cup of soul and the wi fi kept going out. I swear, we had the form memorized by the time it went through. But it did and now we have an email address! I honestly can't remember the name right now, but i assure you it does exist.
Speaking of existence, we found a way to make ours known! Cup of soul is having a vendor block party where buisneses can advertise. So, being that I'm the one with a solid job, I forked over the 50$ to reserve us a place at said block party. We're going to advertise ourselves as an animation studio for hire, hoping to pick up a job making a commercial or a music video. Really, we just want what everyone else wants; to get rich. Is that really too much to ask?
Lastly, Andy and I met this week to work on the all fabled OMEGA WAR novel that is THIS CLOSE to being published. We sat down and just started editing non stop for the longest time. I bought a twelve pack of A & W root beer (SO GOOD!) and we just went to town. We're going to meet again this weekend and we are going to FINISH IT!!! I hope your all ready for the GREATEST novel ever followed by a series of the BEST NOVELS EVER!! Because, it's coming, ready or not. You're head will esplode, you have my personal guarantee. And if it doesn't, well then you didn't read it right.
Didn't get any of Hunted filmed this week, but I know animation on Average Joe's Great Escape is coming along nicely. The few small movements I've seen from James have been phenonmenal so that is going well. I'm also going to work on the first episode of our new series, "the fourth wall" as soon as possible. Then my co-writer Ed Faria will help me polish up the script and we'll be getting on that bandwagon as well. As always plently of stuff going on in our animation studio so be sure to keep checking the site!

Hello to all of our fans! This is the first of many posts on our feature length project: Average Joe's Great Escape!
A little info about the project:
We've been working on this film since January 2009 developing the story and writing the script (which is phenominal!). Bradley "Yeldarb" Ramsey penned the 125 page script over a few months, January to maybe late June, and we didn't get around to recording it until around August. The reason being we were pretty occupied with finishing the third season of The Average Joe Show.
The funny thing is, this film actually started out as an episode of the show... but the ideas we had were so funny we had to make it feature length to do what we wanted with it.
So, after Bradley finally finished the script, we recorded it in August between episodes and launched right into the first sequence of the film beginning of September.
So right now we are on the fourth sequence of this giant of a film... and we aren't even a quarter of a way there yet... and we want to get this out by May 5th... will it happen? I think so. We're moving pretty fast and having a deadline makes us go even faster.
So Mark Niedermann and I are dividing up the animation between ourselves about 50/50. We've decided to take the "character approach", made famous by Disney Animation, where we each supervise the animation on our own characters. For the "Joe family", I'm supervising Joe and Susie. Mark, meanwhile, is handling Martha and Jack... and doing a bang up job!! Martha is Mark's specialty. He really gets her... better then I do actually.
I'm also handling the animation of the film's main villians: Principal Howard and Mr. Daemon (who made his first appearance in our 2008 Christmas Special).
So this way it's easy to keep the animation consistant. That doesn't mean that Mark or I won't get to animate a character we're not assigned to... far from it actually. I personally, want to touch a bit of each character, and Mark feels the same way, so for that reason, and for the reason that all together we are facing AT LEAST an hour and a half of animation (if not more) so it's impossible to split the sequences 50/50 without each of us getting a bit of each character.
We're also creating model sheets for all the characters which give us a visual guide to how these characters act (click to enlarge):
The expressions are very basic but they give us a starting point to create more specific expressions based on them.
I'll post more of these later. I'll also post some animation that I'm really pleased with as well.
That's all for now!
